Remarks

A read-only repository can be fetched from and enumerated, and its events are raised, but every member that would write to it throws an InvalidOperationException: BeginTransactionAsync(), BeginStagedTransactionAsync(), the methods that add variants (GetOrAddVariantAsync(FileId, string, string?, IFileProcessingPipelineSelector, CancellationToken) only when a variant does not exist yet), DeleteVariantsAsync(FileId, params ReadOnlySpan<string>) and the clean methods.
